Setsen Bilguun Consulting (SB Consulting) has played a pivotal role in performing pre-feasibility study documentation and market-sounding research in respect of WBG –funded Mongolia Transport Connectivity and Logistics Improvement Project with a US$110 budget. The project aims to improve physical connectivity and reduce the cost of logistics for meat processing in Mongolia. Our firm undertook the overall task to complete the private sector engagement, market study and qualitative analysis to evaluate and provide recommendation to policymakers regarding Uvurkhangai aimag as the optimal geographic location tying the western meat market. SB Consulting chiefly led the overall market research including stakeholders, namely abattoirs, supermarkets, and potential investors, to determine the project viability for the development of the pre-feasibility study. The consulting team conducted comprehensive market-sounding research with private entities in southern Mongolia to assess the existing meat supply chain while tentatively determining the whereabouts, capacity, demand, and potential bottlenecks of the conceptual regional hub.
